Delhi University Social Centre Co-ed Secondary School is becoming one of the known schools in the nearby area. It is situated in midst of residential area of Block – C, Maurice Nagar, Delhi – 07. A small group of voluntary women organization had started the school in the year 1947. In fact, they had a humble beginning at the behest of Sir Maurice Gwyer in pre independent INDIA. Since 1964 the school gets 95% aid from Delhi Govt. and 5% from Delhi University. The Delhi University has provided a modern building for the school during the period of Vice Chancellor Prof. Moonis Raza from its own funds which is maintained by Engineering Deptt. Of DU. DU granted one time grant of Rs12 lacs for contractual staffs and infrastructure facilities. The DU has also allotted us the Quarter C-4 adjacent to the school. Few primary classes have been shifted in that building. We were able to start a Nursery section in that building which is quite popular.  The school was upgraded from 8th to 10th standard in 2003.
